Alnwick is dominated by it’s most wonderful castle - seat of the most powerful Northern English Barons since AD600. The castle was also the filmset for the first Harry Potter movie and a significant tourist draw to the region.

Alnwick Gardens are well worth a visit, the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland having spent millions on the garden and its famous fountains for the benefit of the public.
